Brooke Burke has shown up for work on Rock Star: INXS

September 14, 2005

Brooke Burke has shown up for work on Rock Star: INXS in short skirts and pajamas, but her latest outfit just might be her wildest. Dave Navarro said Brooke's outfit made her look like "an adult superhero," and she did sort of remind us of the seventies Saturday morning show "The Secrets of Isis." However, there are also some other occupations that the outfit brings to mind in addition to superhero.

Suzie takes the stage first in the final performance show competition. After taking criticism over her difficulties during the interview with INXS, Suzie must know that she needs to deliver spectacular performances to save herself. Unfortunately, her performances of "Interstate Love Song" and "What's Up" are far from spectacular. Even though she does well overall, there are points where her voice sounds hoarse and strained. Suzie will likely reclaim her status as "queen of the bottom three" and be eliminated by INXS next.

J.D. Fortune, who has also become known for controversial outfits, delivers rocking performances of Pretty Vegas and Money. J.D. might fall into the bottom three, but he should be safe from elimination. After J.D.'s performances, Dave Navarro points out, "if you in fact win, perhaps that should be an INXS single."

J.D.'s biggest competition might well be Marty Casey. Marty delivers dynamic performances of "Creep" and "Trees.' Just like J.D., one big advantage that Marty has in the competition is that INXS realizes Marty has a hit song with "Trees." The idea of being able to select a new lead singer for their band and then turn around and immediately release a hit new single is something that probably appeals to INXS very much.

MiG Ayesa gives two of his better performances with "Painted Black" and "Kiss From A Rose." From many angles, MiG Ayesa appears to be the perfect singer to lead INXS. MiG comes across as the nicest guy in the competition, and the members of INXS would probably have an easy time getting along with him on the road. On the other hand, J.D.'s often controversial actions could cause friction down the road, and Marty's strong opinions on what direction he thinks INXS should head in could also lead to arguments.

The only problem with MiG is that he lacks a hit original song. MiG might be the more compatible choice for INXS, but J.D. and Marty seem to be better choices if INXS is looking to start off with a bang with their new lead singer.
