Hollywood actor Tom Hanks is begging American space agency NASA
4th October 2005
Hollywood actor Tom Hanks is begging American space agency NASA to let him walk on the moon.
The 'Apollo 13' star is reportedly desperate to join the organisation's next mission into space in 2018. He recently wrote and produced new movie 'Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon' and has always been a great supporter of NASA and space travel.
However according to reports, NASA sources say Hanks' age and height do not comply with their astronaut program. The Oscar-winning actor will be 62 years old when the shuttle is launched and standing at 6'1", Hanks is too tall.
Oh well, best stick to doing what you do best Tom, making great movies
