People in the News: This Girl Just Wants to Have Fun
October 17, 2005
Recent spottings of Salma Hayek have her cozying up to two, not-exactly unattached men in Paris. One spy told the New York Daily News that she and "Sideways" director Alexander Payne were cuddling at a Louis Vuitton gala last weekend. A photographer snapped a pic of Payne stroking Hayek's calf. But, not long before that, the Latina hottie was seen partying at a Paris nightclub with none other than Jude Law. The Sun in London said that word of the rendezvous got back to Law's former fiance, Sienna Miller, who begged him, "Don't go, don't go," as she wept uncontrollably.
Payne is married to Sandra Oh, of "Grey's Anatomy," though the couple filed for divorce earlier this year. Hayek was with Edward Norton for four years before they split in 2003.
The New York Post says there's more to the recent Boy George arrest for coke possession. The tab says Boy had hired a male hustler, who tried to rob him. But when police arrived on the scene after George called 911 to report a burglary, the prostitute was gone and George didn't mention him. A source told the paper that the hustler demanded all his money. "George said no and that he was going to call the police," said the source. "The prostitute said, 'Go ahead and you'll go to jail.' So George freaked out because he was high, called the police, the prostitute left, and George got arrested."
Radar magazine is buzzing that Vanity Fair may have whitened up the November cover shot of Beyonce. A source at VF told Radar they digitally altered it to be several shades lighter.
"Everything on the cover is bright, including the white background, to make it seem as white as can be," says the source, who claims that the pop diva's complexion was airbrushed to a "Jennifer Lopez shade of bronze."
A VF spokesperson insisted the photos were "absolutely not" altered and said that any change in her skin tone was from lighting and makeup.
