Billboard with gun not welcome
A Los Angeles group has been successful in getting posters for Get Rich or Die Tryin' out of their neighbourhood.
The distributor of rap star 50 Cent's upcoming film said it would take down some of the movie billboards near Los Angeles-area schools.
Community leaders had complained about the posters, which feature the gangsta rapper in a crucifixion-like pose holding a gun in one hand and a microphone in the other.
The posters glorify gangs and violence and are unsuitable for neighbourhoods that are trying to combat violent crime, they said.
Get Rich or Die Tryin' is a film about how 50 Cent gave up the gang lifestyle to devote himself to music.
