Ricky Martin To Visit Thai Tsunami Orphans

Latin pop hunk Ricky Martin is flying to Thailand on Wednesday to tour the areas of the country devastated by December's tsunami. The She Bangs singer, 33, will travel to the battered nation as part of his Ricky Martin Foundation's People For Children project, which monitors and fights the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Thailand's Foreign Ministry spokesman Sihasak Phuangketkeow said the star will focus his attention on orphans who lost their families when the devastating tidal wave hit. Phuangketkeow says, "Out of his personal concern, he's coming over to Thailand to mobilize international support. I know he wants to see the devastation because he's concerned about orphans. I'm sure he will want to meet some of the orphans there in Phuket."
