Burns Is Expected To Be Released Tuesday
16th Nov 2005
Actress Brooke Burns was hospitalised a few days ago, after she broke her neck while diving in her pool, hitting her head, reports The Associated Press.
Burns, 27, probably best known for her role on "Baywatch" and "Baywatch Hawaii", dove into the pool, but misjudged the depth and hit her head on the bottom. The actress was rushed to the Los Angeles Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, where the doctors found out she was suffering of a "slight fracture in one of her neck bones."
The actress, who suffered a "minor surgery", is expected to be released Tuesday. "There's no permanent damage," Glassman said. "She will begin work as scheduled in January."
Brooke Burns, born March 16, 1978, started her career appearing in commercials for Mug Root Beer and popular restaurants. Her appearances translated into a successful audition for "Out of the Blue", a show filmed on location at Sea World.
She developed a cult following on "Baywatch" and "Baywatch Hawaii". In addition to her Baywatch role, Burns appeared in several episodes of "Ally McBeal". She then appeared in a celebrity edition of "Fear Factor", where she leapt on top of a speeding double-decker bus.
Just recently, she got a starring role in the fox prime-time soap opera drama series North Shore playing "Nicole Booth", the director of guest relations at an exclusive Hawaiian hotel. She will soon be seen in the upcoming film Death to the supermodels.
