Meet Aishwarya Rai: The Mistress of Spices

Mallika Sherawat had company at the Toronto Film Festival. Along with the much publicized premier of The Myth, there was also a somewhat quite premiere of The Mistress of Spices.
Directed by Paul Mayeda Berges, better known as Mr Gurinder Chadha, the film, based on Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni’s best selling novel, stars Aishwarya Rai and Dylan McDermott.
Rai couldn’t make it to Toronto and the film didn’t really excite anyone. Critics aren’t terribly impressed and the film still hasn’t found a distributor in North America. Here, all you needed to know….
