Celebrity › David Arquette|
David Arquette’s name has recently been in the news thanks to his separation from his wife of 10 years, Courtney Cox. Many from Hollywood were surprised at the news because many of them saw them as the couple that would last till the end. Many can still remember how much both of them had struggled to have a child when many of Courtney’s pregnancies got terminated. They finally had a daughter and named her Coco. Jennifer Aniston was named as the child’s godmother.
David will always be remembered for his role as Dewey in Scream (1996). Scream has Neve Campbell in the lead who is being hunted down by a serial killer. David played a police officer who falls in love with a reporter played by Courtney. It is here that the two met, and started dating and subsequently married in April, 1999. While Courtney enjoyed success in her sitcom Friends (1994—2004), David has had to struggle to find success. He too almost had his own sitcom named Incase of Emergency (2007), but the show got cancelled after 12 episodes on air. His most success came in the Scream trilogy. He reprised his character in the sequels Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 3 (2000). It was announced that a fourth part was going to be made with all the original cast members and David has confirmed his presence.
David has been a fan of Entertainment Wrestling ever since his childhood and got a chance to realize his dreams when he starred in the movie produced by WCW. The movie was Ready to Rumble (2000) and had many of the WCW wrestlers starring in it. He also became one of the few non-wrestlers to become the WCW champion before it was taken over by WWE.
Many feel that David has wasted his career in mainstream movie where he has not gotten roles to his potential. His independent movies like Johns (1996) and The Grey Zone (2001) have garnered him much more praise for his acting. He tried his hand at direction with The Tripper (2007) but the movie did not do well. His last movie was The Land of Astronauts (2010).
