Elisha Cuthbert BiographyElisha Ann Cuthbert was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on November 30, 1982. Her family includes father Kevin, mother patricia and two younger siblings, Jonathan and Lee-Ann. Her blonde hair, blue eyes, slightly cleft chin and a distinctive nose all add up to her charm. She spent her childhood with her family in the Montreal suburb of Greenfield Park, in Quebec. Quite a mischeievous girl, elisha pretended to be lactose intolerent so that her mother wouldn't force her to drink milk. Elisha Cuthbert had an early start to her career. At age 7, she was modeling for children's clothing for various magazines. She has even worked as a foot model. It was in 1997 that she shot to fame with the show Popular Mechanics for Kids. Doing the show was quite an experience for her as she had to do all kinds of stuff, right from diving with sharks to steering aircraft carriers. Elisha Cuthbert also starred in movies such as Airspeed and Nico the Unicorn, both in 1998 and then followed it up by Who Gets the House? and Time at the Top in 1999. She also appeared in Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? Her other films include, Mail to the Chief with Randy Quaid, Believe , a ghost story. She has received the Canadian parallel of an Emmy, the Gemini Award for her lead role in the 2001 TV movie, Lucky Girl. When she moved to LA, she had auditioned for the lead role in Spider-man, a role made famous by Kristen Dunst.
