Name: Ewan McGregor Ewan McGregor was born on March 31, 1971 as Ewan Gordon McGregor, in Crieff, Scotland. His parents are James and Carol McGregor who are teachers. His brother Colin is a Royal Air Force pilot, born in 1969. His uncle Denis Lawson is a actor, born on September 27, 1947. At the age of 16, Ewan McGregor left Crieff and Morrison Academy and joined the Perth Repertory Theatre. His parents gave permission to leave school and pursue his acting goals. McGregor studied drama for a year at Kirkcaldly in Fife and then for three years he was enrolled at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 1995, Ewan McGregor is married to French production designer Eve Mavrakis. He met her while working on the TV show Kavanagh QC. They have two daughters, Clara Mathilde and Esther Rose. His first notable role was that of Alex Law in Shallow Grave which was directed by Danny Boyle. He is now one of the most critically acclaimed actors of his generation. Ewan McGregor is a keen motorcyclist since his youth. In 2004, he undertook a marathon motorcycle trip with his friend, Charley Boorman, son of director John Boorman. He recently completed a trip from London to New York 'The Wrong Way' by riding a motorbike. Ewan McGregor has formed a production company, Natural Nylon with friends Jonny Lee Miller, Sean Pertwee, Jude Law and Sadie Frost. In 2001, Ewan Mcgregor sang alongside Nicole Kidman in the film Moulin Rouge!. Ewan McGregor was worked on television also. his television appearances include Lipstick on Your Collar, Scarlet and Black, Kavanagh QC, Doggin’ Around, Cold War – Tales from the Crypt, Polar Bears in the Wild, Trips Money Can’t Buy.
