George Lucas was born on born on May 14,1944 in Modesto, California. He spent his childhood fascinated with comic books like "Flash Gordon" and bored with the tedium of routine school days and teachers. Car racing was the only excitement of Lucas. Lucas's THX 1138 was the first of the seven to go before the cameras, THX 1138 was a dour science fiction effort in the spirit of Brave New World and 1984, needless to say Warner Bros. He made THX 1138 in different way, he did not follow the standard narrative style, instead moving the story along with mages rather than by big and effective characters and dialogue. The images used in that were startling and sound rich behind it compelling. The Warner Bros tactic worked, thought it received some good reviews. But the THX1138 was considered as a box-office failure. Then to survive and built up the economical status Coppola accepted a directing job at Paramount. Ther he was involved in adapting and updating and unpublished gangster melodrama called 'The Godfather'. Then also Lucas is not agree, to give up on his dream of making movies. He spent two years developing his next project, with more emphasis on quality and entertainment. Lucas idea was to make a film about one night in the lives of archetypal American youths. He called Willard Huyck and his wife Gloria Katz for help and to write a good script. Lucas as a millionaire, shared some of his fortune with those who helped him make American Graffiti, and started his new company, Lucasfilm Ltd., far from the controversial Hollywood. While composing the script for Star Wars, he had to study fairy tales, mythology, and theoretical works of Joseph Campbell. It was released in 1977, breaking all box-office records as well as the film earned seven Academy Awards.
