Heidi Klum Biography

Heidi Klum was born in Miami, Florida on March 5, 1974 to her Cuban parents, As a young woman, she was attracted towards interior designing and marketing.

Heidi Klum was born June 1st, 1973, in Bergische Gladbach, Germany. Her parents were related to the fashion industry with father Gunther working for a cosmetics company and mother Erna a hairdresser.

When she was 18 and still in high school, she had sent her photos to a modeling competition called Model '92. What she did as a casual thing proved to be a career altering move. She won the competition in style. What followed was a 3 year contract with a modeling agency.She modeled in Paris and Milan before coming to the US. She appeared in ads for Bonne Bell, Gerry Weber, Givenchy's Amerige, I-N-C and Finesse before signing for Victoria's Secret. She graduated from a model to a supermodel while working for Victoria's Secret. She is a regular on Victoria's Secret and the Sports Illustrated magazine where she had first appeared on the Swimsuit Edition in 1998 as the cover girl.

This cover assignment calapulted her to super stardom. She would later appear on the ABC's comedy, Spin City and also a minor role in the feature film 54. In 2001, She made a guest appearence in Sex and the City along with Sarah Jessica Parker. In the same year she also did a comedy, Blow Dry.

Heidi Klum is a regular guest on David Letterman and Jay Leno's talk shows. She is a part-time correspondent for several shows, most notably Entertainment Tonight. She has also started doing some acting, appearing on ABC's comedy Spin City and in the film Blow Dry.

Her marriage of five years to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino ended in 2002 when They announced their separation in November that year.

She married musician, Seal in Mexico in May '05. She had her second baby (first with Seal) in september. She has a daughter, Leni with her ex-boyfriend, Flavio Briatore.

She is presently signed with the Elite Model Management and continues to model and pursue an acting career. Till now, she has appered in the Sports Illustrated 4 times along with the cover pages of Cosmopolitan, Mademoiselle, L'Officiel, Vogue, Glamour, Self and Bride's.
