Young Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel was born on March 3, 1982 in Ely, Minnesota and spent her girlhood in Boulder, Colorado. She grew up with her parents Jon who was the Program Director for the Minnesota Outward Bound School, which is an outdoor, adventure-based program, and Kim Biel and her younger brother Justin. As a child, Jessica Biel, whose nickname is Jessie, dreamed of becoming a surgeon and once cut open a dead squirrel's brain. Jessica went to Fairview High School in Boulder where she was a good student.

Jessica Biel a regular girl who loved to sing, dance, in-line skate, and mountain bike. Jessica was first discovered while competing at the International Modeling and Talent Association's Los Angeles Convention in 1994. Her participation in the conference led to her being awarded a scholarship to the Young Actors Space, an acting society in Los Angeles.

Jessica Biel started doing plays at the age of nine with roles in "The Sound of Music", "Annie", "Beauty and the Beast", and "Anything Goes". In 1994, while attending Diane Hardin's Young Actor's Space in Los Angeles, Jessica was exposed by her current manager, Jeff Morrone, from Innovative Artists. Jessica's on-screen career began in 1996, where she played Mary Camden, the oldest daughter of a minister couple in the squeaky clean TV hit "7th Heaven". She also played role out to the big screen with parts in "Ulee's Gold" in '97 and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" in 1998, where she played opposite Home Improvement's Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

Many people have been bothered about Jessica Biel's future possibilities for years and Jessica herself noticed that big things forthcoming for her. Under the cautious eye of her father, she was featured in several modeling covers including Sassy Magazine in '96, Teen and Moxie Girl in 1998, and the huge honor from People Magazine in '99 when they named her one of the worlds 50 most beautiful people. Jessica has the charisma and sex appeal needed to be a movie superstar or a glamorous girl.

Jessica's film career began at age 14 when she played alongside Peter Fonda in his Golden Globe-winning performance in Ulee's Gold (1997). Her other film credits include I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998), Summer Catch (2001), Roger Avary's The Rules of Attraction (2002) and the recently completed Cellular (2004), which stars Chris Evans, Kim Basinger and William H. Macy. Few people know that this powerhouse of acting talent and versatility has a secret talent that has been put on hold for the past eight years, but surfaced last fall when she was offered lead roles on Broadway in "Rent" and "Beauty and the Beast." Demands from her film career took priority, but hopefully, one of these days soon, we will get to experience just another aspect of this attractive young woman.

2005 is also be a busy year for Jessica, as she will be appearing in Elizabethtown with Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst, London and Stealth. In 2006, she can add The Illusionist to her resume.
