This talented actor from across the Atlantic has an accomplished background in theatre. He has even won the prestigious Lawrence Olivier Award for Outstanding Newcomer. Jude has in a very short time made an impressive resume of films for himself. Despite getting movie offers by the dozen, Jude chooses hi films very carefully. Jude has played a wide variety of roles in Hollywood, very uncommon for British actors.

He was one of the actors who completed the role of Imaganarium Tony in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), a role left incomplete by Heath Ledger due to his untimely death. The other two actors were Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell.

Jude was married to actress Sadie Frost whom he had met while working in the British crime drama Shopping (1996). They divorced in 2003. Jude was later engaged Sienna Miller but Sienna broke off the engagement. The latest buzz is that the two have rekindled their romance. Law has three children with Sadie frost and a daughter from a brief relationship with Kiwi model Samantha Burke.

Both of Jude’s parents were teachers and today run their own drama school in France. His sister Natasha is a famous artist and illustrator living in London.

After theatre Jude began his career with television. He landed a role in a TV movie, The Tailor of Gloucester (1989) adapted from the Beatrix Potter children’s books. He continued to do a few minor roles and landed a role on a soap opera called Families. But what really got Jude noticed was the crime drama Shopping.

Jude, last year had taken a short break from his filming career and had returned to his first love; Theatre. He played the legendary role of Hamlet. Though the play was a hit, he garnered a lot of mixed reviews from critics. His last release was Repo Men (2010) with Forest Whitaker, a dark sci-fi comedy film and is currently working on the film Contagion and the sequel Sherlock Holmes 2.
