Julia Roberts born on 28 oct 1967, in a pro-theater environment. Julia's mother, Betty-Lou, is an actress and a church secretary, and her father Walter worked as a vacuum cleaner salesman, writer and an actor. She attended her parents' Actors and Writers Workshop in their Atlanta home. Both Julia and her brother Eric Roberts were interested in acting.

Julia's first film was with brother playing a small role in "Blood Red". Roberts appeared in a couple of made for TV movies and one low budget feature "Firehouse". Roberts got her first real break in "Satisfaction", although this was not a star making film. But this led to a large supporting role in "Mystic Pizza".

Julia becomes a star with a romantic comedy "Pretty Woman". Since then, Roberts has gone on to become the highest paid actress in the world with an asking price of over 20 million dollars.

Julia won the Best Actress-Oscar Award for film Erin Brockovich in 2000 and finally arrived as serious actress, before that people was knowing her for her romantic comedies. Along with Oscar Award she has many more awards in her list.

She has a production company "Shoelace Productions". She splits her time between her homes in New York, the Hollywood Hills, and a fifty acre retreat in Taos, New Mexico.

Roberts is the first of three actresses to join the coveted "$20 Million Club", when she signed to do Erin Brockovich for that amount as of July 2005, the others are Cameron Diaz and Angelina Jolie.

One could simply say that Julia is a pretty woman with beautiful features, an engaging personality, and lots of great-looking teeth! But there's more to it than that...
