Justin Bieber Biography

Justin Drew Bieber was born in Ontario Canada. His parents are, Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber. Pattie got pregnant when she was just 18 years old. She gave birth to Justin and raised him as a single mother. She worked a lot of jobs to raise Justin. Though, Pattie has complete custody of Justin, his father, Jeremy still shares a good relation with him and the two even spend time together. Growing up, Justin could not afford music lessons from a professional, so he self-taught himself the guitar, drums, piano and trumpet. Justin loved to sing too and took part in the local singing competition. He won the competition, and his mother posted the performance on Youtube for family and friends to see. She continued to post all of the videos of his performances. Little did she know that it was about to change their fortunes forever.

Scooter Braun was a former executive at the So So Def Record label. He had quit and wanted to start his own label, and was on the look-out for new singers. While surfing randomly through Youtube, he clicked on one of Justin’s performances. He loved it and spent the next few days trying to track him down. He finally managed to contact Pattie, but she was reluctant as she always wanted her son to have a Christian Label sign him. But after consulting with some church elders, she relented and let Justin record a few demo tapes. Justin was flown to Atlanta, Georgia for the recording. His tapes created a quite a stir, and there was a war of sorts to sign Justin. It was even rumored that Justin Timberlake wanted to sign him but was eventually beaten by Usher. Justin was signed by Island Records and Braun became his manager.

The Label wanted the people to get a feel of Justin so they released his single “One Time” while he was still recording his first album. The song was a hit and went platinum in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. He was now ready to release his debut album, My World. The album was given a worldwide release on 17th November, 2009. This album too was a hit and was certified to have sold platinum. It seemed that out of nowhere this baby-faced singer had come and taken the music world by storm. But this was just the beginning for Justin.

Justin was now working on the second half of his album named My World 2.0. The previous album was just half of the album and contained three hit songs. The following album contained the rest of the songs including the super hit “Baby”. The song featured Ludacris and became Justin’s biggest hit till date. The video of the song is also quite popular and featured on many top lists. The craze was just beginning; Justin announced his first tour to promote both his albums. Fans flocked to the internet to get any information on him his video even surpassed Lady Gaga’s video to become the most popular video on Youtube. Justin’s love affair with Youtube continued, it was here that he got his first big break and now again Youtube was helping him reach new heights of stardom.

As expected it was now time for the awards to start pouring in. In the 2010 awards seasons, Justin had picked up many prestigious wards like the American Music Awards and MTV Video Awards. He even surpassed his mentor Usher in the awards department this year.
