Born on 17 December 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine Milla Jovovich is a successful supermodel, singer, actress, and also a clothing designer. Her father, Bogic is Serbian while mother Galina is a Russian. When she was 5 years old, her family moved to Sacramento, California. While moved to LA, California after seven months. Before acting Jovovich's first career was modeling. She started professional modeling at the age of eleven. Photographer Richard Avedon first spotted Milla. Richard gave her the "Most Unforgettable Women in the World" Revlon's advertisements. Since Jovovich modeled for several products and magazine covers. Her first cover shoot was the cover of the Italian fashion magazine "Lei" in October 1987. This talented multi-career model turned to acting in 1988. Her first movie was a romance thriller "Two Moon Junction (1988)". Next Milla landed a role in the romance adventure sequel "Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991)" with Brian Krause. Later She appeared in Richard Linklater's "Dazed and Confused (1993)". Milla appeared in supporting and cameo roles in the early 1990's. Milla recorded her first album in 1994 named "The Divine Comedy". Which was received very well. Later she appeared as a lead singer for band "Plastic Has Memory". Her next vocals appeared on album "Legion of Boom" in 2004. Milla has also recorded a single "Rocket Collecting", which appeared in film "Underworld". Milla is best known for her action films "Fifth Element (1997)" and two films based on the survival horror series, "Resident Evil". She is popularly accepted as a action hero. Her recent action film was "Ultraviolet", which was released on 3rd March 2006. Milla is working as a clothing designer. Along with a fellow model Carmen Hawk, she opened a clothing line "Jovovich-Hawk" in September 2005. It is located in New York City's Greenwich Village. Other than this she worked as a spokes model for "L'Oreal cosmetics" and recently picked by "Mango" (a Spanish clothing line) as their spokes model. Milla's upcoming movies include .45 and the third survival horror series "Resident Evil: Extinction".
