Penelope Cruz a n international celebrity and star actress of Spain. She is the daughter of an auto mechanic and a hairdresser. She has a younger brother Eduardo and a little sister Monica. Her brother Eduardo is a soccer player and Monica is a flamingo dancer. She was raised in Madrid. She loves various arts specially ballet and jazz. For that she studied classical ballet for nine years and done several classes related to dance for three years in New York. She also spent four years in under the guidance of Christina Rota and three years learning Spanish ballet from Angela Garrido. In the year of 1991 Penelope made her first debut for the film E1 Laberinto Griego. Penelope Cruz worked steadily in the Spanish cinema for the next seven years. she was professionally educated at the National Conservatory in Madrid and became a perfect in classical ballet. Penelope Cruz got a big break when she was 17 years old. At that time she was casted in Jamon Jamon and Belle Epoque. In pre-Franco Spain she was portrayed as one of the four daughters of a wealthy man. In 1999 Penelope Cruz appeared in the film La Nina de Tus Ojos. Her performance in that film earns her the title of Best Actress Goya. Then she was appeared in a Hollywood feature The Hi-Lo Country. Her role in the film All About Mother by Pedro Almodovar that brought her to the attention of Hollywood. Penelope Cruz's next big movies include: Woman on Top (2000), an American comedy about a chef with bewitching culinary skills and a severe case of motion sickness. While in the US, she also signed up to star opposite Johnny Depp in the drug-trafficking drama Blow (2001) and opposite Matt Damon (her rumored paramour) in Billy Bob Thornton's All the Pretty Horses (2000). She donated her complete salary of The Hi-Lo Country (1998) film to Mother Teresa's children's sanctuary in Calcutta. She also spends a week there as volunteer. She also founded a Sabera Foundation, a non-government organization (NGO). Penelope confessed to Vanity Fair, "Not everybody can do what they want to do and still eat. I'm very lucky", adding, "And it's getting better and better".
