Teri Hatcher was born on 8 December 1964, in Sunnyvale, California, outside of San Francisco. Teri is well known for her roles as Lois Lane in the television series "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" and as Susan Mayer in ABC show "Desperate Housewives". She is also known for her long-running series of Radio Shack TV commercials with former NFL Hall Famer Howie Long. Before acting career, Hatcher also worked as a cheerleader with the San Francisco 49ers, in 1984. Hatcher made her acting debut with Aaron Spelling's "Love Boat (1985-1986)". While in 1989, Hatcher made her film debut with "The Big Picture". Hatcher subsequently landed roles in many films including "Tango & Cash", "Soapdish", "Straight Talk", "Dead in the Water", "Brain Smasher. . .A Love Story", "All Tied Up", "2 Days in the Valley", a James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies", "Spy Kids", and "The Chester Story". For her role in "Desperate Housewives", Hatcher earned Golden Globe award as the Best Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy). As of April 2006, Teri becomes one of the highest paid television actresses in US, earning $380,000 for each episode of Desperate Housewives. Recently, Hatcher released her first book labeled "Burnt Toast: And Other Philosophies of Life" in May 2006.
